Likes

Attendence pressure by college is very negligible.
staffs are good . HODs are cooperative. Infrastructure is good according to private college and all laboratories have good amount of lab materials..

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college . I think they should increase the campus (area wise) , and make one playground near the college.
college placed in a very remote area like somewhere outside of the city.
Accounts department staff should help their students by giving a little bit extra time for paying fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

Talking about my branch and my faculties, they are very helpful and knowledgable in their respective feilds. The problem of 75 percent Attendence is not much necessary here. Lab rooms have equipments ,devices Machines for respective experiments.

Internships Opportunities

college provide you information regarding internship opportunities ,giving you the full detail about stipend and all kind of things. after that according to your own choice you should select one , and they will guide you all well.

Placement Experience

The most important one is the placements that college provides. so, in the year 2022 plaements were very good like 90% students got placed.In the year 2023 , this data gets reduced . And in year 2024 the placement is very down because of layoff. But in 2025 we expect the placement is good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently, the fees structure is like 6-7 lakhs for the 4 year Btech programme. For some of the states they provide the student credit card scheme. You can also take loan from the bank. Under this 6-7 lakh you get the library access.

Campus Life

college campus is not so big , but campus life is good if you have really good friends . There are many clubs like GDS , Eco-cultural club , pheonix tech club , rotaract club and many more. college conducts two fests in a year . one is mesmerizer which is official fest organized by college and another is the departmental .

Admission

You should be a student of Maths background in class 12 with atleast 65 percentage. You should give the west bengal joint entrance exam (WBJEE).After giving exam , you should apply for counselling and after that according to your marks you get the branch.

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the campus placements . Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Approximately 85 percent of the students gets placed . My plans after getting the degree is to get a Software Developer job

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.

I applied for some college in Noida like GL Bajaj and I was getting admission there but because of the distance from my state that is Jharkhand I preferred this college. Also I applied in colleges like Heritage Institute of technology and Techno Main Salt Lake and I was rejected because my wbjee rank was not enough to qualify . Things you should know before taking admission in NSEC

Others college which i got confirmed is RIT /quantum and haridwar university but i didn't go there because it was very far from my hometown and placement wasn't that much good as compared to my current college.
