Dislikes
- Out many things there are very few things which a student can dislike.
- In Jadavpur University, students smoke and drink in campus. But there's no ragging problem now.
- Also I feel that the security of Jadavpur University is not upto the mark. Anyone can get into the university at any time.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is fine. There are many faculties in our college. Their educational qualifications are outstanding. They belong from the top faculties in India. The faculties give proper attention to each and every students. The internal exams are also very instructive and knowledge gaining.
Internships Opportunities
I get to know the internship opportunities in our college from my seniors. They told me that many of their classmates go to internships in IITs and other colleges in foreign. Also many students get internship in different companies. They directly hire them before the placement exams. So they get PPOs.
Placement Experience
I told before, JU gives the best ROI. The placements in JU is phenomenal. Most of the students from every branches got placed. The average package of JU is 10 lakhs per annum. Every year more than 30 students get packages over 50 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Jadavpur University gives the best Return of Investment among every other colleges in India. One can complete his/her Bachelor's degree in just 10 thousands. For 4 year BE course, only 10k is the fees in JU. Also one get many scholarships in JU.
Campus Life
There are many fests in JU. Firstly there is a sport event held only for UG1 students. The event is called U-Turn. Then comes Srijan. Srijan is the official Tech Fest of Jadavpur University. Then the main fest of Jadavpur University is Sanskriti. Sanskriti takes place in JU for 10 days. Sanskriti mainly held in the months of March-April.
Admission
I have given WBJEE and scored 68.55 out of 200. My rank was 1779. I get Chemical Engineering in Round 2 of counselling. In JU, you can get CSE under 200, ETCE under 450, IEE under 600, EE under 900, Mechanical under 1300, Chemical and Civil under 1800, Production and Power under 2000 ranks in General category respectively. There's also Construction, FTBE in our Engineering streams, and one can avail Architecture and Pharmacy courses in JU through WBJEE rank.
