Likes

Placements are good and compete with competitors
Fests are celebrated in large scale namely Tathva and Ragam
Nearby, there are many tourist spots to visit.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very poor when compared to other institutions
Basic hostel facilities are not fulfilled in new hostels
Huge politics in campus and Ragging is also there.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is old but now it is updated. Faculty: Student Ratio is good. Faculty Qualification is good and teaching is average same as many other institutions There will a continuous evaluation of 30 percentage and mid sem of 30 and end sem 40 percentage approximately but varies with course. It is not hard to pass but hard to score distinction

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure is fixed every year. Only mess and hostel fees vary... Mess is ?138per day and hostel fees vary approximately 2100 per month. Many public and private scholarships available. Also fee has laps that is below 100000, 100000 to 5 lakh and above 5 lakh

Campus Life

Annual technical fest name is tathva and it is connected in September and annual cultural fest is Ragam and it is conducted usually in March... Library he has separate building and has various available books and journals. Classroom infrastructure is not up to the mark but basic needs are fulfilled. Many cultural clubs and technical clubs are there.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
