I recommend to take ECE branch if you have high interest towards core side. If you have the dilemma of choosing between software/ hardware , donot chose this branch. in that case it is better to choose CSE in lower NIT's. Faculty is very good in this college for ece branch. There will be 50 students for each class room. It is very easy to get pass marks in exams as they conduct many exams till the end of semester.

You may get many internship offers from the starting of 3rd year. They provide the update of companies through a app called genskill. All the credentials are given by the college. You can apply any company you want in the app when the poll is ready. Both software and hardware companies gets into the poll.

Placements in college is quite good enough compared to many nits. The average package is about 8 lpa for nit Calicut. When it comes to ECE branch. The avg package is about 12.5 lpa . Almost 200+ companies visit nit Calicut

Fee is 1,25,000 for one year. If you don't have any reservation or you don't belong to EWS category. If you are in reservation/ EWS category you need to pay only for the exam fee. The hostel fee is paid through NITC HOSTELS app provided by the college. The charge is paid for every month ,to obtain certain mess. And we have many options for choosing the mess, in app itself. Scholarships are also provided such as FFA etc.

Campus life is very nice. You may experience all the engineering college stuff. As it is depicted in movies.. There are two annual fests held in a year. One is tech fest (TATHVA) and another is cultural one (RAGAM). RAGAM is the only the biggest fest in South India.

Only the mega hostel for boys is good among all the hostels of nit Calicut. MHB boys is newly built hostel which is more comfortable for the students. First years are given A,B hostels with 4per room . 2nd and 3rd year students are given mega hostels with 2per room. And final year students with single room occupancy.

There only one way process of admission,it is through JEE (MAINS) examination. There is no eligibility for course selection, but you must get MPC.
