My life in NITC

My relatives and my peers suggested me to take either ECE or CSE and I got a seat in NITC CSE for my rank. There will be around 13 faculties for 4 courses in a semester for 200 students in CSE branch. The faculties are well educated having a minimum qualification of PHD in related subject. The term exams are a little bit tough but if you start before 1 week for the exams sincerely without any distractions, the exams will be easier.

As a second year student I am not aware of internships and placements accurately. The internships will start from end of 4th semester and beginning of 5th semester. There are companies like Google , amazon that offer placements and internships.

At the present situation, there is a recession going on due to which the availability of placements is slightly reduced. The students from 7th semester will become eligible for placement interview. On an average 95 percent of students got placed. In CSE, 100 percent of students got placed.

As a student with no reservations, I have to pay an annual tution fee of 1,25,000 and hostel fee 26,000 and mess fee of 40,000. Roughly 2lakhs per annum is the overall fee. For the students having their family income less than 1 lakh will have an overall fee of around 75,000-1,00,000. There will be scholarships like FFE .

There will be two fests conducted every year in NITC. Tathva is the technical fest conducted in month of November and Ragam is the cultural fest conducted in the month of March. The availability of library and there are plenty of books available over there. There are many clubs for students run by students like AI club NITC, FOSS CELL, etc.

The hostel room changes for every year. For the first year, the roommates are randomly selected and 4 students per room. The mess food will be somewhat need to get adjust. For second year, third year the hostel rooms have 2 students per room.

I've joined NITC by writing JEE mains examination which is one of the best engineering entrance examination . I've scored 233/300 in JEE mains and secured a rank of 3231. The application form, application dates will be available in josaa website through which counselling will be done. JOSAA is the official website for counselling for NIT's and IIT's in India.
