Course Curriculum Overview

My field of intrest before I joining into nitc was electronics so i choose ECE branch.Actually the professors in nit Calicut was awesome their teachings was understandable. The students/faculty is almost 48 The midsem and endsem are not so difficult as people thought about nits and iits we can secure good marks If we study a little bit hard for 6-7 days

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 22500 per year

Placement Experience

As of now I have heard the more students are not getting the placements but we are trying to get into something by our teachers or faculties help . The placements will be guaranteed it was almost 98 Percentage can get placements so the placements will be good and all will be satisfied with that

Fees and Financial Aid

As of now I haven't got any scholarship the fee in nitc was almost affordable to max no. Of people. For the people who are having below 1lakh income have to pay 11250 per semester as tution fee and 32687 as hostel and mess.

Campus Life

In 1st year we have physical education course it's concentrate on yoga on half and exercise on other half we have gym in nitc and so many grounds for different sports activities like cricket, basketball, volleyball, shuttle etc..

Hostel Facilities

The hostels in nitc follow as per the menu the food is not bad as of other state person i can't say I am 100 percent satisfy with the food that they are providing but we can adjust with the food. The mess fee is okay we can pay with in the nitc hostels app

Admission

I joined in nit Calicut by writing the entrance exam JEE MAINS.To get into the btech clg we have to pass in our intermediate .I got 185/300 marks in mains of percentile 98.58 I got general rank of 12952 and I am a reservation in OBC category i achieved 2910 rank and got into ECE branch

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
