Course Curriculum Overview
I joined B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering due to the interest in material sciences. Most of the faculty are well qualified with M.Tech and Ph.D in IIT's and other renowned institutes. As in every college, the teaching varies from Professor to Professor. For a single semester, there are two mid sems and one end semester examination.
Placement Experience
From the 6th or 7th semester students start sitting for placements. Placements are quite good considering the initial fee investment. Barring a few, almost all the students get placed in core companies. Average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs. Highest can go upto 15 to 16 lakhs. For the computer and production and industrial engineering branches, the first batch has not yet passed out. So the placement details have to await.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is very much affordable for all branches. Last year they increased the fee to 80,000 to 90000 per semester including the hostel and mess fees. The national scholarship portal can be availed by students where different scholarships are provided.
Campus Life
College campus area is about 70 acres with not so high student strength hence making it a perfect place to study, have fun and enjoy. there is an annual fest called JINKS PRANAV which is celebrated in a pompous manner. Clubs are in a developing phase. With increase in branches and strength, clubs are developing day by day. Classrooms and library infrastructure are excellent.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels can be one of the best reasons to join the college. In the first year, you will be having a double sharing room but from second year, you will get a single room which is quite rare in engineering colleges. Mess menu has improved over time due to accountable questioning of students.
Admission
Admission Process is through JEE MAIN exam and JOSAA and CSAB counselling. Details about josaa and csab counselling will be available in the respective websites. You can just fill your priority colleges according to your ranking in josaa and csab counselling.
