Likes

I would like classes the most as they were peaceful to sit in
Kho kho ground is good as I was a player in that game
Hostel rooms are good and they are peaceful and have a good view when viewed from the window

Dislikes

Maintanence of 80% percentage attendance
Not allowing personal vehicles of students near college premises
No proper travel facility from hostel to campus

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually there is a bit change in the curriculum from us compared to our juniors. There will 5 faculty dealing with the 48 students all the faculty are supportive. The quality of teaching is fine. All the faculty are highly experienced.The examinations are also not that much difficult

Students become eligible from the 7 th sem. Many major companies visit the campus for example Amazon Cisco Oracle and so on.many offers were given to students. The highest package offered was 48 lakhs and average package of campus is 8 lakhs. 92 percent of students get placed in the campus

Fees and Financial Aid

There will be a bit increase in the fee from year to year. Fees depends on the annual income of the family of the student. There government scholarships like nsp,ffe etc and there will also be a financial assistance provided by the college for the needy

Campus Life

Nut Calicut celebrates thathva and ragam one being in March and the other in October. Fests are a great joy for students here in nit calicut. The college has a great central library which has a vast copies of books.There are many clubs which serve for students and many students participate in those clubs to improve their skills

Hostel Facilities

This college has a great hostel facility the room look pretty good and the maintanence of the hostel is excellent. In the message the quality of food is good but the taste is not. Registration process is very simple . A very few students stay in a rented room near college. Many rooms are not available near the campus.

Admission

I wrote jee mains examination conducted by nta and got a rank of 13156 in the open category and ews rank of 1748 and using this ews rank I got a seat alloted in jossa in nit calicut in the ece department. The admission process looks fine for me

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
