Actually I want to do my btech from cse branch and finally I got seat in this nit Calicut. Faculty are good and the teaching is fine. As I was from cse department we will have many assignments they give us a very good score

Fee structure depends on the family annual income. And it depends on the caste category.I have PM yasavi scholarship. Regarding fees hike policies, inquire about the frequency and percentage of increases. Be aware of hidden costs, such as textbooks or lab fees.

Hostel Facilities

Accommodation Details: I had the privilege of staying in the NIT Calicut hostel, and it offered a comfortable living space. The room provided basic amenities like a study table, chair, wardrobe, and a well-maintained bed. Meal Quality & Menu: The hostel meals were commendable, with a diverse menu catering to various tastes. The quality of the food consistently met expectations, offering a mix of regional and continental dishes. Registration Process & Affordability: The hostel registration process was straightforward, ensuring a hassle-free check-in. Affordability was reasonable, considering the facilities and services provided. The inclusive nature of the fees made it convenient for students. Locality for Rented Accommodation: For those opting for rented accommodation, the locality around NITC is student-friendly. Several PG accommodations in close proximity to the campus provide convenient living options.

Admission

I have cleared the jee mains with 99.44 percentile.i got a rank of 5097 in jee mains and I got a reservation rank of 1080 and using this I got admission into nit Calicut in cse department and the cutoff for this branch in college is around 800 to 1900

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
