Course Curriculum Overview

I have choosen BTECH in ECE due to my keen interest in electronics . Our class consists of around 50 students and during lecture hours only one faculty will be present during tutorial hours faculty ;student ratio will be 1:10. Most of the faculty have completed their BSc in thier respective areas

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

In your 3rd year you can apply to internships and you can get involved with it in your semester break and many companies comes to college to take interns also with good stipend . Stipend will be based upon the company and your role provided

Placement Experience

Placements are quite often happening in campus. You will be eligible to placements from your 7th semester. Every year around 500 companies visits campus for placements and recruits pretty well from all branches . package and all depends on your branch . Around 90% students wil get placed every year

Fees and Financial Aid

I think fees should reduce a bit as for students who do not have reservation they may feel it is burden to thier parents and facilities are ok but not upto the mark. Scholarships are available based upon the student category. Financial assistance will not be there as scholarship money takes much time to process.

Campus Life

In 2023March they conducted RAAGAM which was considered as the biggest cultural fest in south india and they planned technical fest Tathva which is to be conducted. there are vast amount of books available in NITC library also you can get access to online mode also . classrooms are not upto the mark . NITC has its mark in INTER NIT sports held every year. there are many clubs available in NITC both technical and cultural

Hostel Facilities

In room they provide two cots and two study tables with two chairs and a mirror. Mess was ok , but non malayali people feel no spicy . Registration process through college website itself and it was affordable .You will be provided buses from hostel to classes

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

Entrance is through Jee, and through Josaa counselling you can get into the college. Reservation benefits are there according to government UG rules. If everything in the admission process is thorough it is much better

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
