Remarks

College management is very poor. However ugc has started appointing more qualified and experienced faculty (phd's) professors and assistant professors. I think that this step will make our college rise to new level.

Entrance Preview

I appeared in AIEEE exam in 2011 and got a all India rank of 54702.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course is the normal as it is in any University. There may be minor changes but overall the subjects are same.

Internships Opportunities

No company came in our college for offering internship to students. Students had to find and apply for their internships in companies in which they have reference or sources. I took my internship and training from mahindra and mahindra swaraj tractors after 2nd sem, bhushan power and steel after 4th sem and central scientific instrument organisation (CSIO) in 7th sem.

Placement Experience

2

Placements for cse and ece branches are almost 100%. Exceptional cases are only if you have any supplies and all. Placements for civil and mechanical branches is very poor. Only 1 student each from both the branches were placed in core industry. Rest 15-18 students combined from both were placed in a mass recruiter INFOSYS.

College Events

2.5

College organises one literary fest LEXICON and one techno cultural fest APRATIM every year. Participation is usually of 500-600 students. There is no involvement of teachers in these fests what so ever. They are completely organised by the students. Athletic meet is also held annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any. And I don't know if college has Any tie up with banks for this purpose. But there is a branch of state Bank of Patiala in our college. Fees is approx. 2.5 lakh for 4 years.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is not like that of any other college. Not that happening. You go to classes and back home. Bunks are very common. I had friends in my class only coming during exams and the rest of the year they were no where seen in college. Gender ratio depends on the stream you are in. Mechanical and civil consists of mostly boys while in cse and ece are usually equal. There are no proper playgrounds. Basketball court has not been maintained in ages. Grass of the ground is rarely cut. Cricket and football tournaments are usually held by the students only. No initiative in this regard is taken by college authorities. There are various clubs for extra curricular activities like Beatles, music Club, apostle of speech, cultural club, rotaract etc various events are organized by these clubs regularly.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel room are pretty big. They accommodate 4 students in one room and there is ample space left after that. Condition of these rings is not upto the mark. Cleanliness of the rooms and toilets is rare. Mess food is okay okay. I would rate mess food 2 out

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not that great. Thus is the college in which there never happened a convocation from 3 years. And our seniors are yet to collect there certificates officially. How do you expect the interaction with our aluminies to happen then. However there is group on Facebook only in which all the aluminies and students are connected to each other

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is not good in CCET. Faculty in this college was on contact basis. In our 5th semester whole staff of the college excluding the principal went on chain hunger strike demanding change of their job from contractual basis to permanent basis which las
