Likes

The senior are very supportive. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus. Seniors are too welcoming , eager to help you.
Teacher are too experienced in their field .
College location is good . With two river inside the campus.

Dislikes

City life is missing in bit mesra . You don't many hangout places outside the campus
Hostel food can be awful sometimes. So select your mess committee accordingly
Die to recession placement are affected very badly this year.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because ot was perfect blend of mathematics and computer science. Some Teachers are too experienced but some really need to improve their teaching skills. Exams happens regularly ( around 2 exams per month)

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I don't know much about internship scenario but as far as i researched about it through seniors , they told it is very easy to get internship if you acquire proper skills for the role. Many college startup prefer same college students as intern

Placement Experience

You can sit for placement in your last year. Training and placement cell of BIT is good but this year due to recession placement are not upto marks. Last year the placements were good . On my course around 70% people get placed on avg of around 17 lacs per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is on expensive side if you compare it with other colleges. It is private college but condition of hostels are not parallel with other colleges (compare with colleges like SRM or VIT). You can get scholarship which is also merit based according to your CGPA.

Campus Life

Campus life is good in BIT MESRA. You have plenty of food outlets inside the campus. Bit if you want to enjoy city life this college is not for you, it is situated 10 km away from ranchi ( ranchi itself cannot be said a proper city).

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is good but only for first year students, as you get into second or third year you get poor hostels, which don't have proper washrooms , hostel food depends on your mess committee which you people decides in starting years.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

Eligibility of this course is: 1. You should pass your 12th in PCM in atleast 75% marks. 2. You are enrolled in this course only on merit based of your JEE mains. You apply in this course on JOOSA counselling.

Like everyone knows in which carriculum they are interested ,similarly i know i have a keen interest in my subject i.e. physics . We can't see physics as a theoretical and mathematical aspect but in our daily Life we use to experienc it . Like if something is fell down there is a reason behind that is gravity .we use to experience physics in our daily life . Some teacher use to make us feel for that subject but someone make us bore sometime. It happens rarely but sometime it happens. So i suggest them to change some activity Like teach with more energyso tha we can't get bored. Sometime we get very lengthy paper in the exams so everyone have to prepare before the examination with high speed.

A Transformative Journey : My College Experience

Placement Experience:

The campus placement in our college is held after the completion of all 6 semesters and there is very limited number of companies that come over to offer placement but off campus placements starts from 6 semester onwards. The companies visited were Vedanta for graduate trainee offering 1.40 - 4.65 LPA Tata Power for graduate trainee offering 1.90 - 3.69 LPA Only 40% students got placements. Many students didn't take part as the packages very low & even the perks were not so good. I planned to do higher studies in M.Sc. As the subject was very intriguing I preferred pursuing more knowledge.

A geniune review: BIT-M

Placement Experience:

BITM is known for great placements. Campus placement is good . Average package is 15 lpa. CS -19 lpa Mnc- 15 lpa Ece- 15lpa Mech- 10lpa BITM offer better placement than most of NITs. Many students crack off campus placement. CS highest- 1.86cr MNC highest- 89lpa.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

GPAT score is what taken into account and in 12th 60% or more is mandatory. Also JEE scores are considered but again baby IITs level of score is required and therefore students mostly come through GPAT here....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
