Likes

Clubs such Tech Club , Cultural Club and Sports Club
Academics is really great as teacher put a lot of effort nourishing the students .
Govt Operated Organisations like NCC and NSS are highly active in college so it's a great thing .

Dislikes

A big auditorium is missing and it's not expected from a good college .
A big ground is missing and that too is a bit off thing .
Fees is a bit on higher side than expected .

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is great and quite acknowledgeable . The faculty members are great and hard working , they put efforts in each class and if you really want to achieve something then this might be your turn . But mind it , you must work even harder as it's not IIT / NIT or any other T1 Collg where things will be easy or easily available .

Internships Opportunities

College offers a few internship opportunities to work on and make a good profile and get an exposure of the corporate industry and that appreciable . However you can even apply for internships on your own for flagship opportunities .

Placement Experience

Campus Placement is decent in NSEC . For mych greater opportunities and greater packages , you may apply off-campus . But from college , you may receive decent packages if you prepare well for placements . Do well in your core field or whatever the sector you want to grab the opportunity . College even provides decent internship opportunities , so it's upto you how you deal with it .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is on the higher side as the fees is 75K per Sem and there are scholarship on income basis and many more schemes for West Bengal Students . If you fall under financially weaker category , register in exam as TFW student so that the fees will be too less .

Campus Life

Campus life is not that good . A good ground and auditorium is missing but still crying for that isn't an option and working hard to get the best outcome of the available resources is the key . The labs , library and all are really good . The Tech Club , Cultural Club , Sports Club and all the clubs and even NCC and NSS are highly active in college . So the social life and connections will be great .

Admission

Firstly , you've to take WBJEE Examination and score decent there . Then you've to register for councelling process and submit your choices of college . Then as per the cut-off , you'll get the college . Like in NSEC , if you want ECE , your rank must be in 30K range to get the branch .

Placements at haldia institute of technology are moderate and improving espicially in cse It Aiml and ECE core branches like ME EE CE FT placements are nearly limited and many students are relatively limited and many students explore off campus opportunities higher studies or skill based jobs Highest package is 10-12 LPA average package is 5-6 LPA 80-90% students gets placed off or in campus placement Cse aiml it Ds get better placement then the core branches get placed decent

Reality check

Placement Experience:

The students of 4th year are eligble for placements. Companies like TCS, capgemini, LTI mindtree have visited last year for campus placement. I ont have any official data about placdments but afer talking with seniors i can say that usually average package is of around 4 Lakhs Per Annum.

The Most Detailed Review of Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata

Placement Experience:

The senario of placement in all of the private colleges of West Bengal are more or less the same. Majority of the students are placed in Service Based Companies like TCS, Wirpo, Infosys, HCL, Accenture, Cognizent, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. These companies offer anywhere from 3.6 to 6 lpa packages. Only a handful of Product based companies come in these private colleges and cherry pick 2-3 student per college only. This is the reality of all the private colleges, not just our college. If you want to crack a high paying job, you will have to do it off campus. The students are eligible for internships from the 6th semester itself. The college does try to provide internship to students but only a few students end up getting the internships and most students need to find internships on their own. Some companies which came in 24-25 session which offered an internship and PPO are Amazon, SAP Labs, Accenture, etc. For a detailed placement stat, go to our college's website and look for training and placement stats. The college is honest in putting these stats. The stats are mostly reliable. The highest off campus placement in 24-25 session was by Snehadeep De, who secured a SDE role in Amazon with 47 lpa CTC. This was off campus so the college had no role to play here. The highest on campus placement was by two students in the company Juspay. They were offered the SDE role for 27 lpa CTC. The average placement of all the CS branches will be around 5-6 lpa. And approximately around 60-65% of the students get placed. This is the ground reality. And its the same in all of the WB private colleges. If you want to keep a backup option in case you don't want to get a 3.6 lpa job then start preparing for GATE, CAT or Civil Services from your second year. Its always preferred to have a backup option cause you can't trust a private college for providing you jobs.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester students become eligible for placement but if not trained individually by doing courses from coursera or YouTube then one cannot crack exams. College forces everyone to do a course from coursera every semester in order to get a job. And some companies like Accenture stoped hiring mid way, and Wipro did not reply after 2nd round only releasing the shortlisted student list for interview, and no interview were scheduled few companies like LT midtree and cognizant DN program gave placement opportunities with LT mindtree hiring 25-30 students and DN program being the only mass hiring opportunity . The average package being 4.5-4lpa only. Till now i did not get any reply of rejection or selection process mail from cognizant and wipro, and college has no answers. Now i have to bridge my skills after college according to company to get a job.

Students can became eligible for placement from 7th semester 4th year.Many company require a minimam cgpa of 8 and no active backlog. They conduct some Aptitude test coding test Technical Interview and Hr interview. Many top company visit TMSL like TCS,Cognizant,IBM,LTI Mindtree, HCL etc. Lowest package about 2.5 lpa and average package was about 4lpa and highest package about 10lpa. CSE & IT have highest placement rate compare to core branch .

Harsh but Honest

Course Curriculum Overview:

this college comes under MAKAUT university.it follows makaut syllabus.I chose this couse because this was the most hyped course at that time.faculties are average.as this is a very small college faculty student ratio is okay.i dont know much about faculty qualification.i think the HOD's are qualified but the teachers are not because i have to study all the syllabus from youtube.but the teachers are very helpfull.they are flexible in attendance.term exam were quite difficult because i am not good in cheating.now they have also cctv camera so now it is impossible for me to cheat.so i have to study the entire syllabus to pass.terms exams werre taken timely

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Things you should know before taking admission in NSEC

Others college which i got confirmed is RIT /quantum and haridwar university but i didn't go there because it was very far from my hometown and placement wasn't that much good as compared to my current college. I have given the west bengal joint entrance exam(wbjee) and through it the nsec college was allotted to me through counselling process. When the result declared, you have to apply for counselling and put your choice of colleges with rank. Every round you will be allotted college according to your result rank.
