Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course because I love music and music is in my blood and heart. Faculty and student ratio is 1:30. Most of the faculty have done phd. The semister exam had occurred after 6 months and the pass process was difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

Our university does not have any internship opportunities. In music technicaly you will not get intership. It is not a technical line. You have to know things by yourself snd you have to do hard work for your achievements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the course was 110000 rupees per year. For me there was no fees hike. For study the cost was surely high but for this type institution this was ok. I got swami vivekanand scholarship. Our institute do not provide campusing.

Campus Life

The university conduct only 1 annual fest in December month. Our college have 7 central library where you can get all music stuff knowledge. Well our college conduct sports like cricket, tennis, basketball. There are social group like GitaBidhan BOYZ etc.

Hostel Facilities

Well I did not live in hostel. But from my friend I heard that hostel was good. You wil get a bed, a desk,a fan and a light. Meal quality was average for everyone. Registration process has done when i took admission and porcess was same like admission.

Hostel Fee: INR 9000 per year

Admission

I got the cource from admission test by myself. I find the application from on line and application fees was 600 rs and application date was 18 aug 2015. The porcess was smooth i have no issue with that

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

My Experience as an MA Graduate in Jadavpur University

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for camous placemens from the third semester onwards. Companies that have visited the Departmet of Comparative Literature witth campus placements offers are SVF, Hoichoi, Radio Mirchi, Papertrue, LearningMate, among others. Highest package offered by companies is 8.5 LPA Percentage of students getting placements is 85% My plans after getting my MA degree is to go for a PhD.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.

A Peaceful, Culturally Rich Journey at Visva-Bharati University

I chose VBU over other colleges because of its peaceful campus, strong language programmes and unique academic environment inspired by Rabindranath tagore's vision. I had also applied to JNU and EFLU, but after careful comparison I found VBU more aligned with my learning style and personal goals. The UNIVERSITY offers a more focused and supportive setting with smaller class sizes and close student-teacher interaction which is ideal for studying a language like Japanese. The admission process was conducted through the CUET( COMMON UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE TEST) . The eligibilty was 10+2 with a valid CUET score. For Japanese VBU considers marks of either ENGLISH or GENERAL TEST whichever you get higher marks in. I dont regret choosing VBU it was the right decision for my academic and personal development....Read More
