Too many things happen at once so it's difficult to attend all
Managing time here is little hard and sometimes it gets overwhelming

Course Curriculum Overview

Our semester is of 4months along with 1 month of winter break and 3 months of summer break we have class tests mid sem and again class test and end sem. The faculty is good and everyone here are very qualified.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I still havents done my internship so I'm not really sure. But there are students who went abroad to participate in research internships with professors there. So the internship opportunities are very good here.

Placement Experience

There will be internships given from 5 semester to students and placements will be done after 7th semester. We have career developement centre here which takes care of the whole process of placement or internship of a student. Highest package is 2 crore

Fees and Financial Aid

We have one time fees for mess and hostel which is around 50,000 and the acadmic fees that is semester fees is around 1,50,000. There are scholarships which can be availed by students who are eligible for reservations.

Campus Life

We have three annual fests here one for sports one is tech fest and the other is socult fest. We have a very big library here and the societies here are most active among all the IITs. There are societies based on each and every sector starting from e sports and manga to a NGO completely run by students

Hostel Facilities

We have a room generally shared by 3 members if boys and 4 members if girls. The hostels are very old but they meet the basic necessities. We have a locker and table for ourself in the room and the food is also of good quality. You will be getting 4 meals a day and nenu will be changed for every month

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

Anyone who qualified 12th boards can apply for the JEE exam . You can apply for it through JOSAA. There are reservation benefits for EWS,SC,ST,OBC in terms of rank. I don't recommend any improvement as the exam is already tough enough

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

IIT KGP in a sophmores eye

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

From fifth semester you are eligible for the intership . And from seventh semester you are eligible for the placement. Many companies visited our college such as TCS , IBM ,COGIZINANT, amd many more . The highest package is around 15 lpa and the average package is 4 - 5 lpa . The placement ratio is around 80 - 85 %

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
