Likes

The 2100 acres campus, facilities market, movies in auditorium on every weekend, greenery and nature.
KSHITIJ and SPRING FEST in every year and also many other fest and competitions.
BC ROY hospital for free treatment students and also Banks inside college.

Dislikes

everything is good except mess food and also cooks are not different for veg and non-veg food.
sex ratio is also so much less as you can see a girl between 10 boys like friends.
the competition in IIT KGP is very much that forces suicide for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The best campus life and one of the best college in India. Also you know about IIT. faculty:student ratio is 1:50. All professors are masters in their courses and teaching by them is good not that much best according to their knowledge. The semester in IIT kgp is approx 4 months. Professors teaches one and half month and then mid term exam starts , at the end of 4th month , the end-sem exams start. The difficulty level is hard but passing them is not that much hard due to relative grading.

Internships Opportunities

The Interenship opportunities are good. IIT kgp allows every student for interenship , like it doesn't depend on what your branch/department. All kinds of job inconerning financing, IT sectors jobs. It has vibrant startup culture.

Fees and Financial Aid

As an SC student I have not that much fee like I pay 1 lakhs for first year but in general there is too much fee. If you have not able to pay fee, government decided to take a little amount that you can affor. I have SBI in my college IIT kgp, which gives loan also.

Campus Life

Also you know, the best college and campus life exits in IITs. There is always competitions and GC . I have Asia's largest fest KSHITIJ and also SPRING FEST , you also know not all IITs have spring fest. There is always books available in library and you can issue books for 60 days . fans, ACs, projectors,etc. all sports played here also you can take part in GC. IIT kgp have all societies like comedy, acting, coding,etc.

Hostel Facilities

My hostel is LBS, It is good in everything and mess food is okay but not like "ghar ka khana". facilities: washing machines , clean bathrooms, clean rooms . Registration process for hostel is very simple not that much headche.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

I applied for JEE(Joint entrance exam). Eligibility : 12th pass out or in 12th class. JEE conducted by NTA, its application fee is 650 rupees as I am an S.C. candidate. The deadline for JEE application form 2023 is 12th jan 2023 for 1st attempt and 7th march 2023 for 2nd attempt. As an SC candidate, In JEE advanced rank is 1648 and I am not cleared by general category's point of view. If there is any problem in Form applications or other, there is not that much helpful.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Other colleges I applied for is IIT Delhi because it is nearer to my home and is well reputed college and have a great field in Tech.I opt this college because I am interested in Tech field. I finally chose IIT KGP beacuse it is providing me better branch than IIT Delhi and I got interested in this college beacuse my teacher in myh senior schoo is also from IIT KGP they taught me a lot of stories of there college time and I talked to some seniors of college for admissionb regarding prespective so they advised for IIT KGP.Therefore I chose IIT KGP over IIT Delhi.
