Behaviour of teachers & their teaching techniques
Technical supports of the college like projector and computer

Dislikes

The subscription money paid is too high to us(rs 1500 for all college program's)
The irregularity of the classes and often gets suspended
The over usage of English language is much irritating

I've choosed the course to prosper in life in a secure job circle.Our college faculty is nearly good, teachers are also very qualified.i haven't done any term exams till now.but I heard that our term exams are gradually moderate.

Internships Opportunities

I'm studying in semester I,so I don't know about the internship facilities or anything about it.But I can assure that our college gives us opportunities for internships in big companies like Tata,Deployed etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fees hike policy is not so bad as the fees are not so hight to pay.All the students have offered Scholarship in the basis of HS marks & Semester exams.Oasis,Svmcm these are some scholarship names that we got.

Campus Life

Our college maintains the college campus very properly.They organised the functions like Social,Fest,U Calypso very well.They also organised Sports (indoor and outdoor).There are some groups also for nature development etc

Admission

I'm studying B.com hons course in Goenka College of Commerce & Business Administration under Calcutta University. They prioritise Atleast 90 percentage & above marks for getting the admission.I filled up & Submitted the admission form through online process & I've paid 950rs for the application. My opinion is to ruin the admission process defined by caste basis.

The college has a distinguished student placement cell which has successfully placed hundred of students in large, well-known companies. Students in the final year of their course who are interested in getting placed have to register themselves with the placement cell. The placement cell has brought over 70 companies to the campus. Over 550 students have been placed and more the 100 internships offered with the package ranging from 4 lakhs to 36 lakhs per annum.

INSIGHTS OF GCCBA

Course Curriculum Overview:

I cleared my CA Intermediate along with B.com(H) as I wanted to pursue a career in finance these subjects were similar to CA Intermediate which helped me do it. Various courses requires an undergraduate degree so it is mandatory. Sem 4 and Sem 5 were most difficult according to me as many students got Supplementary exams

Yes, College provide placements but maximum are outside kolkata. College provides councellor for resume making and interview preparation. Also, college provide link and list of companies hiring freshers graduate with satisfactory salary.

After completing 6th semester they will provide limited placement from campus. Basically HDFC, Kotak Mahindra,Yes Bank comes to our college and take students. They gave average 1.5 to 2.5 LPA per year.

I chose the course because of my interest in finance. I want to pursue CA and MBA in future. Faculty to students ratio is 1:10 Faculties are best in their fields , they have immense knowledge in every subject Exam are conducted every 6months and are moderately difficult

the reality of kd college

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am from Commerce background so I need to make my career on this way so I choose this course . The faculty and student receive is not good the students and the faculty ratio is 10 : 5 The faculties are educated from various university and institutes they know everything but they are unable to delivered them to us as because they are some aggressive attitude. In every six months there is a semester and it is very difficult to pass if you don't study anything from the first.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for a bachelor of commerce in accounts and finance (Hons ), the faculty was good and highly educated it was a semester based exams which mean gave a total 6 exams throughout the course, and the exam are not exactly easy to pass, I would say the paper were moderate and not so easy to pass.

Admission:

The admission process starts with the filling up of an application form online. The students are required to have a minimum of 50% in the 10+2 examination and also english should be a compulsory subject.

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. Proud to be Goenkan

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More

Goenka college review.
