Course Curriculum Overview

I had Interest in Mechanics.Also had an interest in the structural aspect of it and naval architechture fascinates me thatswhy i choose this course Student to faculty ratio is 1:21 Most of the Faculty have complete btech or bs,mtech or ms and phd.teaching methods are outdated. it is a semester system so mid sem happens in 1.5 month and end sem in 3.5 months.

Class Size: 93Course Fees: INR 279000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships Opportunities are offered by various companies like Microsoft ,Sony, Ericsson, Goggle. Mostly Internships opportunties are for Data Structures and Algorithms. Also they are for those who Know Web Development.

Placement Experience

From 7 th semester students become eligible for placements Microsoft,goggle,Honeywell,Amazon,Flipkart,Tcs,Accenture.(total 1400 Offers were Made) Highest package 2.4 Cr. Placements Percentage overall:60% My plan is to go for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike mostly depends on Government of India. I didn't apply for scholarships. but various scholarships like IITKGPF , GKP ,SGRIP and various more. you can also avail government scholarships through the institute.

Annual Fest:Spring Fest(January) Tech Fest :Kshtij(January) It has the one of the biggest library in India. Classrooms are Well Furnished with Green Boards and Projectors IIITKGP provides a lot of oppurtunity for extra curriculars, there are many clubs such as encore,druheen,pravah,tcc. Also IITKGP has amenities basketball,footballl,cricket,hockey,squash,swimming,lawn tennis.

Admission

Eligibity Criteria: You need to qualify Jee Advanced Examination . Need to secure 75% marks in Boards . Candidates must have studied physics, chemistry, maths as compulsory subjects in Boards. Application and Admission Process: It is Done Through Josaa.

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

A GOOD COLLEGE WITH GOOD PLACEMENT , SPORTS FACILITY.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
