  • The infrastructure and the way to reach the college is quite nasty. The roads are quite dirty and the college too.
  • Faculty is quite moody. They treat you as per their liking.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I was interested in the subject. 4: 40 2 professors have completed their PhD. 1 professor has completed her MPhil. And another professor has completed her MA and is currently pursuing her PhD. Their teaching method is good.3 of them teach very well.Your concepts would get cleared. Internals of the college were quite easy. But as this college is under University of Calcutta, the semester exams are quite tough. You have to put in extra efforts to get a good SGPA.Understand your concepts well and revise thoroughly before your exams.(This is for psychology,I don't know about other courses)

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost for this course is quite average if you come from a middle to upper middle class background. No job is provided from the campus. Scholarship and financial assistance is given according to your family's income. For more details, you have to contact the college's office.

Campus Life :

Library is quite equipped with books and you can probably issue the required books from the Library. Amenities are not that great. Sports day and other extra curricular activities happen 2-3 times per year. Socials happen once per year.

Admission :

Application form and the required details were already given in the college website.Application dates were too mentioned in the portal. You just have to check the college portal of bangabasi college (you will find it in Google)after your class 12 th marks are declared by your respective boards.Notices would be available there. The admission process was relatively easy.

Other Applied Colleges

Loreto College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Psychology)

Didn't had the required cut off

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is in charge of it. It varies every year depending on the openings, recession, job vacancies. And all the three sections, as in Film Studies, Design, and Animation have different number of companies coming for campussing.

Placement Experience:

Almost 70-80 % of the students get placed in msc statistics, and the average package is around 7-8LPA. There are many private banks, consultancies and other private firms who visit for placements. One can also opt for research after completion of the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum although restricted has a vast subject variety including practical topics as well as theoretical ones. Also there is projects and presentations to be given every semester which helps build up confidence among students. However there's lack of rigorous implementation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose my course as I loved physics and mathematics from my childhood days and I wanted to do some research related to physics in the later part of my life. The several curriculum in our college prepared ourselves for the real world applications. The frequency of exams was half yearly basis. But several internal exams were happened in between those half yearly exams to prepared us for the difficult problems.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from semester 6. Companies like IPAC provide placements and I plan to prepare for UPSC and other government exams after getting the degree. Not many students get campus placements

From 6th semester students are eligible for placement. There are many companies which visit to acquire students from different departments depending on their skills and marks. They offer around 10000 . Around 2 to 3 percent gets the placement. I have planned to give UGC NET and to opt for masters .

Placement Experience:

The placement of amity is excellent as we all know for which it is renowned. You have to be capable also not that everyone gets placements because most of them take studies lightly as they are spoon-fed everything. But if you are capable and determined then you can be assured that you'll get a good placement on campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year I was enrolled, the new fyugp course was established by the university, and was not very burdensome to our department, though improvements were desired by some after the first sem and actions will be probably taken. This college is the best college in town to persue biological sciences.
