Course Curriculum Overview
1st of all I choose the EE trade as it is the core trade and within it I can access both core and IT jobs. Also I liked the trade. The teachers are very friendly and some of them have great intelligence on the subject they teach. Maximum teachers completed PhD. They teaches in the classroom on white board with black marker. English (spoken and written) is a must, so for those who come from any state board make sure that you can atleast write your answes in English. There are atleast 1 to 2 teachers for each subject. The semester exam questions comes in a pattern and sometimes it is tough ngl. So from the start of each session start studying!.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers you various internships on LinkedIn and internshala. And expect that you can avail any internships (may be paid) on your own. Except this there are many offline internships and training on your own. The projects starts from 4th year and for that you need a group and funding.
Placement Experience
As for the placements, companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSIS and many more comes. Average package is 3.6LPA and maximum is > 6 LPA. Not all students get the job but the placement rate is 80 percent. That's it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total package for the course is 3.5L. Per semester it is 41k for regular students and 35k for lateral students. You can apply for various scholarships like I had applied for SVMCM scholarship. The avg pakage is 3.6 LPA. Some students had cracked 15 jobs though, any average students could get atleast 1 to 2 jobs depends on your skill. Placement rate is 80%.
Campus Life
The college conduct the annual fest in the month january Or february. And believe me it's fun. For the newbies (1st year) the college conducts a carnival. And in the techfest there are many fun programme including pc games.
Admission
After passing WBJEE with 15000 rank I did the counselling and got the college "HETC" 2 times and so after searching about the college and I went for it. The cutoff of this college is >70 % in both 10+1 and 10+2. In the interview round the respected college teachers evaluated the merit and based on that he places the trades I can go. I got EE and ECE and I admitted in the college as a direct entry student. To be honest the teachers will try to convince you to admit in different stream where seat is empty. That's it, try to set the subject in which you want to get the B. Tech degree.
Interview Experience
10+1 and 10+2 studies are enough to crack the interview round. The teachers are good but sometimes they will try to convince you to take another course on their campus as there are seats left. The GD round goes for few hours.
