Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the course as I like mathematics from my childhood and I want to continue it till my Ph.D. There are available faculties to teach every part of the course. Every faculty is well qualified from renowned Institutions. Their teaching methods are easy to accept. The gap between the exams is not same every time but the gap is enough and exams are not too hard to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

Some of our University students also get foreign internships. They get chance to attend seminars in foreign colleges. Recently the students of Botany department has discovered a new bacteria which helps in fertilization.

Placement Experience

3.5

As we see that this is a home central University which has only general degrees, the campus placements and companies visits are not very frequent. But the students recure good ranks in iit jam, net, set, gate exams with the help of the faculties which helps them to get better placements. My plan is GATE exam after studying masters from VBU.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fees structure is not too costly. It is quit affordable for any kind of students according to their capabilities. Some scholarships are also given to the eligible students. Overall studying in this University is not too much costly.

Campus Life

5

There is an ocean of old and new books in the libraries of VBU. There and Central Library and a personal library for every Bhavana for the students. Reading rooms, reference rooms are available for each library. Inter-department sports are arranged and inter-bhavana sports are arranged every year by every Bhavana and by the University respectively. There are websites available for every departments run by their scholars or students.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are available hostels for every Bhavana's students. Both boys and girls hostels are well managed by the Proctor Office. Meal in all the hostel canteen are average but not spicy. Hostel registration process starts along with the admission process. There are no delay for hostel allotments and the rent is too much affordable. For SC/ST candidates hostel fees is free. Despite hostels too many rooms and PGs are available near the campus.

Admission

Here in this University the honours and masters degree for both science and arts are available. Students who have completed H.S with minimum 60% marks can apply for an honours degree. For honours admission CUET exam must be cleared and for masters, there is an admission test. There are reservation benefits for the students. The admission process is well managed by the University. Course fees are affordable for any kind of student relative to any Central university.

Interview Experience

5

To get admission for honours and masters degree one must apply through CUET exam. From 2024 PG admissions are going to made by admission test in spite of CUET exam. I prepared myself for the CUET exam and scored the required marks for VBU.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, I love Statistics. Also, there is a great job opportunity after reading the statistics here. A BSc in Statistics(Hons) covers a wide range of topics. The scope of the program prepares graduates for careers in data analysis, research and various other fields that require strong quantitative and analytical skills. At present, there are 9 teachers and 25 students in our year. Innovative Teaching Methods: #Audio & Video Tools. #Stimulating Classroom Environment #Welcome New Ideas #Refer to Books On Creativity #Introduce Lessons Like a Story #Regular Assignments #Seminar by the students & professors There are two semesters in an academic year and there is a short mid-semester in between each semester here. To clear the exams you need to read class notes and books properly.

There are no campus placements. No companies visit the college and no as such highest and average package as per company and profiles offered are available. My plan after getting a degree is to go for further higher studies i.e. M.Sc. in biotechnology from out of West Bengal. Then after completing my M.Sc. I will further go for Ph.D.
