Remarks

You should be from science background in class 12 and should be a recedent of West Bengal. Also the halve to clear wbjee examination, to opt this college they have to be from 5000 to 10k ranking range for general students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am an electronic and Communications Engineering department student, it's an subject which has the combination of computer engineering and also electrical engineering. The student ratio differs every year 3:1 in average. All the faculty are very well educated.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Placement Experience

Most students got placed in IT companies like Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, and Motorola as SDE or assistant system engineer. Few got chances in Microsoft, oracle and so on. Some top companies like TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Byju's, Adani, etc, visit to hire students. Average CTC is now 5 L.P.A. and low CTC is 3.5LPA .

Fees and Financial Aid

Couse fees of CS, ECE = 6k per semester And for EE, ME, CE = 3k per semester Maximum students get scholarships like svmcm, oasis and so on. Some students also get full scholarships and they don't have to pay the fees at all .

Campus Life

Name of annual fest is ezparanza which is of 4 days in which 2 days of tech events and cultural events respectively. Our fest generally held during March to April period. Since it's a new college library faculty is not so good. Students are very much enthusiastic about extracurricular activities and events of cricket football badminton are all held.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . 7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
