Course Curriculum Overview

I Choose B.Tech from here cuz, The fees is very low rather then other colleges in west bengal. Faculties are good, Teaching Skills are great. All faculties have their P.HD (Dr) degrees. There are 2 exams in a semister, mid sem and end sem, you have to qualify both. Exams are easy for you if you are regular in class and read all notes of your class teacher.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of last year is about to 5 lakh for four years. You will get scholarship of 30% if you scored 90% in your 12th boards. For west bengal students SVMCM is available in college. For Outside students NSP is also applicable.

Campus Life

JIS Organized Tech fest from last year named "Codefest". It organized with Integration of Google Developers students club + Github + Microsoft LSA Program. There are lots of books are available in library. Sports & extra curricular activitics are available in JIS Campus. Classrooms are good. Sports Club, Media Club, Tech Club, Coding Clubs are available

Admission

Appliction are always open in JIS University Website. You have to fill application form on online via website, then they will call you for furthur verifications. Eligibility of B.Tech Course is PCM + Bioscience/Computer Science or any. If you have 90% marks in your 12th Boards you will get 30% Scholarship.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are overall good, students can apply for the placement form 5th and 6th semester and can get PPOs's companies like Microsoft, google, amazon comes during the placement season and every year, so many students get placed even with a package greater than 2cr INR. The average package is around 18 Lakhs.

Placement Experience:

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. A few companies which visit the college are TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, IBM, COGNIZANT, HUL, HCL, INDIAN OIL, MITSUBSHI, NJ INDIA, D-POWER,ETC. all the companies offer placement. highest on-campus package = inr 33 lakh where as the average is around 6lpa. After the degree, I plan to get a good placement in a core company and opt for GATE.

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester the students get eligible for campus placements . Some good companies like TCS Capgemini Infosys visited campus . Amazon also visited our campus the highest package is about 22 lakhs and average packages 5.5 lakh . about 80% student of CSE , IT and ECE branches get placed.
