Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because this is a versatile course and i also love coding so i opted this course in this college . the faculty student ratio is quite good as compared to another colleges in kolkata .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the computer science and engineering is more than five lacs for four years . the college itself provide scholorship for meritioius students about 10% in thier respective fields.

xenia is the name of the annual fest and jisu tech fest is name of the annual tech fest conducted every year for freshers students . the classrooms of this college is filled with ammenties like smartboard projectors and many more ..

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Placement Experience:

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. A few companies which visit the college are TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, IBM, COGNIZANT, HUL, HCL, INDIAN OIL, MITSUBSHI, NJ INDIA, D-POWER,ETC. all the companies offer placement. highest on-campus package = inr 33 lakh where as the average is around 6lpa. After the degree, I plan to get a good placement in a core company and opt for GATE.
