Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the btech course beacuse this is the course i want to join in . The faculty and students ratio is quite good as compared to ther college in kolkata . The qualifications of the teachers is at phd level and they teach students in friendly manner which is very helpfull.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for my stream is 5 lakh for 4 years and the external 10% of scholorship is applied to the addmision and semester fees .some scholorship is provided by the west bengal goverment itself with the help of the college .

Campus Life

The annual fest and tech fest is conducted in every year . the name of the annual fest is jisu fest and jisu tech fest . The availability of books in the library is quite good . classrooms is filled with ammenities like projectors , pcs and smart boards.

Admission

the eligiblity of this college is minimum 50% of marks in 12th board with any any stream. The application form is available online as well as offilne in the college office .This college has different fee structures for different streams and courses.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are overall good, students can apply for the placement form 5th and 6th semester and can get PPOs's companies like Microsoft, google, amazon comes during the placement season and every year, so many students get placed even with a package greater than 2cr INR. Placement Experience:

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. A few companies which visit the college are TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, IBM, COGNIZANT, HUL, HCL, INDIAN OIL, MITSUBSHI, NJ INDIA, D-POWER,ETC. all the companies offer placement. highest on-campus package = inr 33 lakh where as the average is around 6lpa. After the degree, I plan to get a good placement in a core company and opt for GATE.

From 8th semester the students get eligible for campus placements . Some good companies like TCS Capgemini Infosys visited campus . Amazon also visited our campus the highest package is about 22 lakhs and average packages 5.5 lakh . about 80% student of CSE , IT and ECE branches get placed.
