Course Curriculum Overview

4

As we all know that Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is going to rule the World. Hence there are a lot of job opportunities for the people studying in this stream. In 1st year our department has 120 students. The faculty is very good and helpful. The teaching process of the teachers are good if only you do the classes seriously and regularly. So, it's the responsibility of the students to do the class properly. The faculty is very free to communicate if you are only good them. Every year two semesters you occurs. There in between there will be Continuous assessments and Practical Continuous assessments also. These marks will get uploaded in the Makaut portal. These CA s and PCA s are not that tough to pass. But for the semesters you have to study atleast so that you can score atleast like 8 point. And if you are a good student then you can easily going to be a 9 pointer.

Placement Experience

4.5

Mostly from the third year onwards you are eligible to get internships but proper jobs or placement you will only get in 4th year. There are lot of companies which comes in our college like Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS, PWC and a lot more. The highest placement goes upto 30-40 lakhs and the average placement is almost about 4-12 lakhs. Yes, now there is an advantage of the students that from TMSL 90% of the students get placements either it's off campus or it's on campus. If someone is having good skills and knowledge regarding programming it's not that difficult to grab a good placement. After completing the degree my plan is to offcourse get a good job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of the college is like okay, if you can afford. If your financial condition is not that good my suggestion for them will be to go for good Govt. Colleges. From TMSL, 90% of the students get placements with and average package of 4-12 lakhs and if you are meritorious students with good programming skills and knowledge you are easily going to get a salary package of 20-30 lakhs. Almost every students get placements either in on campus or in off campus, three is this much of sureance that you are going to get more or less a good placement if you work a little harder. There are scholarships available for the students even.

Campus Life

5

This is the most interesting of TMSL, the social life of this college is just amazing. The cultural club of TMSL "Team Ankuran" one of the biggest fest of WB "ANAKHROONAS". The 2nd largest fest "EDGE" of East India is held by the Tech club of TMSL "Team Geekonix". There is the literary club "Team Eclectica" also hold the Literary Fest. There are many other social and cultural Fest happen in the college. College even has the sports club which conduct a lot of activities. The students can freely participate in the extra curricular activities. The library has all the important books. The clubs mentioned in the above have their insta handles.

Admission

I took admission through an entrance exam "WBJEE" and got into this college. Mainly the undergraduate students are eligible to give this entrance exam. The students who are from science background having the subject combination Physics, Chemistry and Maths can prepare for this exam. If you want to give the exam for pursuing b.tech then you have to study these 3 subjects only and if you want to pursue your career with pharmacy then you have to give the exam of only 1 paper which includes Physics and Chemistry. You will get all the informations regarding the "WBJEE" exam in the Wbjee portal. This year the Wbjee will held on 28th April and most probably filling up of the application forms are going on now. Those who are having reservations criteria they are having a golden opportunity to get into good Govt. College. And the reservation criteria doesn't get in the case of getting admission in the Private Colleges.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
