Good Private College in West Bengal

I chose this course because this is the best couse I can get for this rank. As I'm still in first year I have no great idea about the faculty to student ratio. I also don't know much about their qualification as I'm in my first sem. The semester exam happens every six months and although I haven't given one, they are not that difficult to pass.

Placements in our college is descent compared to other colleges. The average placement is about 4-5 lpa. Many mass requiters like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS visit the college and many more companies come in college. Almost no core companies come to college, so the students of core departments like electrical, mechanical, and civil are forced to prepare for tech companies.

The fees is quiet high as it is a private college. As a result many students like me have to take education loan to study. The college itself does not provide any scholarship but you can still apply for the government scholarship schemes while studying in this college

Although the Campus is not that big, the college is pretty much enjoyable and you can literally see a fest happening in our college every month. It has 6 main clubs which has many subclubs. They organize events round the calender. The annual fest that happens is actually the second largest fest in eastern India, the first being IIT Kharagpur.

I got admitted into the college through WBJEE counselling. I secured a rank of around 9000 and the cutoff of my branch (CSE-AIML) went upto 13000 in the mopup round. WBJEE is an entrance exam for engineering and pharmacy courses in colleges in west bengal. The registration happens around january and the exam happens around april. If you do not manage to secure the cutoff of your required branch you can also take admission through management quota for which the college will charge you huge amount of money on top of your fees to give you admission. One improvement I'd like to see in the admission process is that there are too many management quota students and sometimes they take too many that later during the MAKAUT registration they have to cancel admission of some students that might be from the management quota as well as WBJEE counselled students.
