Clubs activities and fests of each department
Seminars and all the events which invite ias and IPS officer
It's strict policy of exams and regular grading

Dislikes

Not much of a college area to explore and spend time
The metro connection is good but very side form most of kolkata
Library is very bad and not at all good for self study

Course Curriculum Overview

Course contains data science and ML subjects but to start as BSH in first year comprising of Mechanical lab and Ed drawing and starts at 3rd sem as intro to data science and more ML subjects in 3rd and 4th year

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Placement Experience

The campus placement is in a moderate state and mainly controlled by panel of teachers from IT department and average package is about 5 lakhs and highest package is around 19-20 lakhs and the course offered are good

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is 5.6 laksh for 4 years and that goes about 70k per semester Scholarship for state students only or minority or from Bihar Campus placement Tak place every year in companies as TCS , Infosys, Accenture

Campus Life

Campus is very minimal and not more than 3-4 building with very less place to hang out Social life is quite good with exposeure to all types of state students and clubs varies form cultural , studies and technical

Admission

The admission process was smooth as I took wbjee exam Form at wbjee offical site Reservation for state board students More transparency in rank grading would be much better Cut off was 17000 and my rank was 14500

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
