Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I know how versatile is the btech cse degree .. Faculty and students ratio are good if we compare with other colleges in kolkata.all faculty have done PhD in their respective fields

College provides scholarship of 10% on the total amount or fees for the students securing more than 70% in 12th board and some of the scholarship are also released by government of west Bengal like svmcm and may more

Campus Life

They are many groups are made for the students like Google development group for students and internship for students and sports club like cricket team, football team , kabbadi team and many more .. the library of the college is filled with enormous amount of books

Admission

The eligibility of this college for btech cse is that you have minimum 50% marks in 12 th board. The addmission process was smooth like butter you don't have to take much stress all the procedure will be done by faculties themselves..this college need no improvement because it is already developed..

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements.
