College has good infrastructure and is well equipped.
College has little to no ragging and the senior are quite helpful as well
College has helpful faculty who are always there for students.

College has Connectivity issue campus being far away from main town or city area.
College doesn't really have good placement with a average of 3.5LPA
College doesn't provide any hostel for 1st and 2nd year students

Course Curriculum Overview

Btech in electrical provides a lot of opportunities and is future proof as well therefore I choose this course. College has a Good student faculty ratio and most of the teachers are PHD holders and some Mtech holders, Term exams are held twice a year or in a gap of 6months and are moderately tough but one can pass with a little bit of preparation.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 8400 per year

Internships Opportunities

College provides internship with 6-10 thousand rupees per month stipend in companies like Siemens and let's you take exam to qualify for Microsoft, IBM and many other companies internship program but doesn't really have that many opportunities.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement after 6th semester and college has moderate placement with 50-60% getting placement with a avg package of 3.5 LPA where as highest goes around 14LPA companies like TCS , Infosys, Cognizant, Adani power etc visits for placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of study is quite low and affordable with semester fees being only 4200 for Electrical engineering and it being a government college there is rarely a fees hike, Student can also avail several state central and private scholarships like SVMCM Aikyashree Owasis etc .

Campus Life

College organises annual fest , freshers and many other cultural programmes in different times of year and makes us take part activity, the library has plethora of books sufficient for students and the classroom are equipped with projectors, college also organises annual sports and has several cultural club like photography club ,dance club, RIC ( Robotics and innovation centre) etc.

Admission

The eligibility of the course is 12th pass, the admission process takes place through WBJEE and the application form comes out in late December or early January it has a fees of 500, and has relaxation in cut off for reservation candidates.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Students who actively engage in placement preparation have better placement success. About 98% students were placed in 2023. MY PLAN AFTER GETTING THE DEGREE: After completing the degree my primary focus is to secure a jon through campus placement and gain practical knowledge. Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

Mainly mass recruiter companies like TCS, wipro, Infosys, cognizant comes here.Some top notch mncS like oracle,amazon, Microsoft also comes here .One senior of our previous batch got 1 cr Per annum in off campus way. Avg package is 10 lpa like . Jft and pst branch has full 100% placement. My plan after getting the degree is to be placed in top notch mnc & work as SDE.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

The main reason students come to this college is because of the fact that fees are affordable and also this is purely government college. Admission process is quite easy you need all the necessary documents (Aadhar, Pan, etc) along with your WBJEE scorecard and rankcard.
