I chose this course because I am interested in the field of medicine. We have a batch of 250 students and groups of 10 students are assigned a mentor from the faculty to help them throughout the year. To discuss their problems in the academic part. Exams are tough.

Internships Opportunities

MBBS Comes with an integrated course of internship after their final prof exam and many opportunities open up. One can pursue neet pg after their mbbs course and many students often do that. Others can take up jobs as medical officers

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fees is only 6500 for general students and the fees is very less in general as it is a government college. The 1st year fees is around 15000 and there are many scolarships one can avail.

Campus Life

Our annual fest Lobelia Is the largest fest hosted by a medical college in West Bengal featuring top stars and events over the course of 5 days. Classrooms are clean, well maintained,provided with projecters and speakers. Extra curricular activities take place throughout the year.

Admission

The MBBS course for unreserved students can be availed after scoring a minimum of 600 in the all india NEET-UG exam for government colleges in our state. The admission process was meticulous to provide thorough checking of the candidates so as to check eligibilty of the students opting for admission

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Best medical College in west bengal

Placement Experience:

If you can pass the exam that is very tough to pass if you're not serious at all, you'll be able enough to get into any nursing home or you can start treating people staring your own clinic. After 4.5 years you get the internship program that is mandatory to do for all where you get a salary of 32000 per month which is highest among all states . If you manage to be in the top 100 students of the batch of 250 you get one year job in the same hospital with a fees of 50000 and just 48 hours duty per week. If you do nursing home you can get around 70-90k per month based on how much you spent time on work .

You have to clear NEET UG cut off for our college which varies according to your category . Cut off is high as our college is third most sought college in WB.
