the discipline is the final word in this collage,
no ragging, seniors are very very friendly and co operative
hygenic bathrooms are there, very nneat and clean bathroom and classrooms are airy,

Dislikes

as it is connected with iem, sometimes the syllabus is incomplete.
very little time to prepare for the semester
playground is the only thing which is very small here, and all the foods are very costly lower middle class students like me can not afford it daily

The course curiculum is well planned and all the teachers are very well knowledged and friendly. we also have esp sdp economics, to get ready for the govt job exams. this things is the ost unique thing our collage offers, we also have various foreign langugage to learn.

Fees and Financial Aid

the collage offers 100% campus placement. the fees structure for the b tech is 7 lacks , which is 85,000 per semester for the 4 years. if you are a student of the west bengl board you can get the swami vivekananda scholarship, which is 2lacks 40 thousands. and you can also take study loan which is very low interest rate.

Campus Life

the most interesting paert of the collage is campus. it may look small from the outside, but from the inside it is a gem, we bave everything you can expect. we have different clubs for your growth, different fest is organised in different time of the year.

Admission

yes, the iem uem group conduct an entrance exam named iemjee , also this collage took admission by the result of jee, wbjee as well as 12th result. you must have to take science group in your 12th, to get admission in btech. we receached a lot about the collage and went straight to the collage to get admission, on an avarage you need minimum 75% to get admission.

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.

Placement process in IIT KGP is well designed and functioned every year placements are done.Generally from seventh semester placement process is started for student and every student is eligible in campus placements as per requirements of company and according to their demand students are selected for final process of interview. Multiple company visit the campus annually and some companies visits campus are Microsoft,Google,Apple,Amazon,Infosys,Tata,Mahindra,Reliance and many hundreds of company more. Yes, Our college provide us campus placement by many of the MNCs recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, etc. The placement cell takes initiative from 2nd year and later gives training for placements from 3 rd year. Talking about the highest on-campus placement is of 32 LPA and average package offered is of 5-6 LPA. About 85% of the students got jobs of the department of Computer science. So no doubt it is a better college when we talk about placements.

If you want to join ths college you have give IEMJEE (their own admission exam) or through WBJEE Exam. But don't worry pal half of it's admission is done by management quota and rest of the seat is seal by external broker. Provide decent jobs to most students. Faculties are helpful and teach well. You can issue 3 books at a time from the library once your library card is made. Classes are held to enhance your communication skills. A lot of items in the canteen and cafeteria. No ragging. There is no ground to play. Very strict rules, has a lot of restrictions. Most students call it a jail, cause you cannot bunk classes. But believe me, it will shape you into a good human being and you will also get placed if you put your effort.
