Course Curriculum Overview

I liked political science, but the ratio is quite bad as there are around 90 students in my course, but the professors are well qualified since most of them are from JNU, in DU we have a semester system therefore in a year there are 2 semesters.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 5300 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is quite nominal in DU, since being a government institution, the fees are pretty much less and affordable too. The fee ranges from 3000 - 20000 approximately for a year. Therefore it's quite less compared to other private institutions

Campus Life

The societies are quite good, I was part of a lot of them in my initial years but I discontinued it since the pressure of studies piled up. The best thing about society is that the exposure to the students is quite good, the students would be able to find the best in themselves and would be able to discover new self of them.

Admission

The admission was on a cut-off basis and I got my admission in the 1st cut the form was available on the Delhi University's website, the admission process is now much smoother, and by the coming up of CUET, the process has changed a lot.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.

A first look at Zakir Husain Delhi College.

I applied to colleges like Jamia Millia Islamia but I fell short of the cut off marks. It was mainly due to the reason that I hadn't really prepared for the examination as I was busy preparing for my boards and CUET. The admission process for Zakir Husain is the same as any other college of Delhi University.
