Understanding about Techno Main Salt Lake.

See, Data science is an important field in today's life and I love playing with data so I choose it. We have 7-8 faculties in our department and many more lab supervisors. Faculty: students are like 1: 10. Everyone is highly qualified and one is from IIT Guwahati. They all have experience and very stylish teaching methods. Internal exams are easy and timely and semester exams are hard. Every year 200-300 students get supplies. No chance of cheating.

We get internship opportunities from TCS Microsoft and some foreign universities. The role is like assistant in data management, data analyst, and web developer. The stipend is around 5k/ month and they pay for living.

6th sem students are eligible for campus placement. The companies are TCS (mass recruiter), cognizant, Wipro, Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. The highest package is like 15lakh/ annum in Microsoft and the average package is 5-6 lakh/annum. There is offline placement also. 90% of students always get placed. I want to go for higher studies after my B.tech degree.

The fee hike is not ho high. The fee is like 5.5 lakh for four years. And a 60k/ year scholarship for West Bengal students. I am from West Bengal and availed scholarship of 60k/ year. If your family income is less than 2.5 lakh/year then you do not have to pay tuition fees.

The campus is not so big but it has indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Annual fest is held in January and February and techfest and hackathon happen from October to December. We have so many fests to enjoy. There is a very big library with a sitting facility and every book and journal available there. There are 5 star classroom in college and some have AC also. We have clubs like Samarth, and Utkarsh which give us lots of opportunities for extracurricular activities.

Hostels are 20 min walk away from college. We get 2-3 bedrooms with bathroom, wifi facilities. We get 3 time meal. Meal quality is average and we have non-veg and veg also. Menu like fish, egg, curry and one veg item. The hostel is affordable and rent is like 7k/month. The locality is not very much. Only working people take rent here and here we have a Lake, and parks for playing. And the weather is good also.

I have been admitted through my WBJEE rank. Eligibility is that you have to pass 12 with 60% in science (physics, chemistry, math). You have to apply for the WBJEE exam from Wbjee. nic. in portal probably in January. The exam is usually held in the last week of April. They give reservations for caste students. But no reservations for ews students. There is direct admission in private colleges which will cost 6-7 lakh for good colleges. I want the government should give more chances to poor and studious students and they should get special treatment.
