the annual fest and other events thtoughout the year
the faculty and their qualifications

this course best suited my interest level. there is one lecturer per 60 students . all the faculty is highly qualified and have phd degrees. the term exams are always held timely and are moderate in difficulty

aproximately we spend 20lpa on tution fees in this collge and the average package is around 8lpa. there is student schlorship for topper in each branch and even overall in college. these is a fees hike with each sem

Campus Life

life at thapar is all fun and good. other than academics there are a lot of socities who organise a lot of events on campus . there is a annual fest each year "SATURNALIA" which is amzing and this year mohit chauhan came to perform .

Admission

found the form online and applied . I got admission through 10+2 marks and 3 rounds of counselling were held. the admission process was very smooth and i faced no diffivulty in the whole admission process.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. I had a really nice percentile of 98.9 in jee mains but what happend is i intentionally wanted to score 69 in boards i didnt know about the 75 percent jee mains criteria i got 69.7 i like to call it 69.69 but i messed up so i applied in vit as well and srm and thapar i got in all of them after giving there respective tests on the same fees but i chose thapar was better after some consultation with my relatives who are in this field and know people in this field i got admission in the end on basis on jee only in thapar and the experience is well...Read More

I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota.
