Remarks

The college is more interested in cultural events rather than technical. So College need to focus on the technical Field first.

Entrance Preview

I wrote SAT subject test and got admission in this college. There were no interviews. My interest in mechanical engineering made me to choose this field, as I have interest in automobiles.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course on my own as this is my feild of interest.There is very less focus on practical learning but yes student get exposure for the learning but that is least. No there was no research initiatives taken by our college.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college provides internship. I will do an internship in my 6th Semester as I'm currently in my 3rd semester.

Placement Experience

Students are not getting placed in core companies. Students go according to their interest. Major companies vising our campus are Sandisk, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Wipro, L&T etc. Average package here is not too high but is 6 lakhs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We pay a good amount of money but the facilities we get are not to that mark that I expected. Fees structure under DASA is much higher ie 3-4 lakh per annum.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are not too good not bad . We had sharing system in the first sem. The food is 7/10. We paid approximately 58,500. But the facilities are not worth it.

Exam Structure

Yes , specially the mid terms makes us tired because we have two exams a day and they all happens regularly. But in end semester exams we have one exams a day.

Faculty

Only few professors are experienced and have good teaching skills leaving them other have less experience but yes they teaches us well. Faculty are much interactive to the students. Standard of teaching of facilities is appreciable, we understand what they explains to us.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

Great college with immense opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is upto date and to the industry levels, especially with great labs and internship opportunities. Exams, are based on the course but they're quite tough and we need to study daily to get good marks.

Good college with great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 4th year and many get PPOs in 3rd year as well. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, visits the campus for placement. In CSE last year, the highest package was around 60 LPA with average around 17-18 LPA with 80% got placed.

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

Pec is still worth it

I chose this college because of the fees and legacy of college, it is more than 100 years old and everyone in the industry knows about it, the fees is low compared to others. the campus is decent 150 acres which is comparatively better than other government colleges (though if u want better campus and can pay high, go for thapar). I applied to thapar, IIITs but at the end chose here. I was rejected from NIT delhi due to rank (college tag is more valuable of NIT).
