Remarks

What the college is really great about it is the freedom that it has to offer and it's urban setting which denied your college life to be restricted only to college. The cultural and technical activities happen almost everyday due to presence of large number of societies and clubs. The thing I didn't like about the college is it is stuck in the old system and not interested to come out of it.Old syllabus,Huge paper load. The college is not up to date with the current standards .But all done and said it is what you expect from a typical Indian engineering college and much to offer than just engineering..The late night studying to late night gaming. It has been a good journey until now

Entrance Preview

I got admission through JEE mains after securing a rank around 11000.I had few options nearby my home with this college being best of them all. There was no interview process involved.I took electronics branch for the love for technology that runs in my veins (hereditary).I have always been fascinated by it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is little bit on a harder side because of the fact the subject is a vast one.But I have always accepted such challenges gracefully.Practical learning plays a major role in electronics and college have enough practical lectures to impart that learning. Currently 2-3 research initiatives have been taken out of which ' The Smart City Project ' is the major one. There are lots of choices as in subjects that you can take other than syllabus for each topic you cover in syllabus, you can specialize in it

Internships Opportunities

The college provides for a compulsory 6 month internship period in the 6th semester of the course.I an still in 2nd year so I cannot say much about the experience but what I have heard from my seniors is that it is really competitive because of the limited number of seats available. The average stipend amount is around 25000 rupees

Placement Experience

4.5

This placement scenario is good with many major companies being invited to college to conduct their interviews.Due to absence of mass recruiters in college the percentage of student placed is less but enough to accommodate more than every hard working student in the college. JPMORGAN & CHASE,DE-SHAW,Goldman Sachs,American Express, Microsoft,Amazon,Samsung,Maruti Suzuki are the regulars every year. The average package is around 8-9 lakhs which is more than the domestic average of iit bombay

College Events

4

PecFest is one major TCM fest organised in nearby fest.PEC is known for its cultural activities more than it's technical but still it is one of the biggest fests.I don't have a exact idea of footfall and would not make a assumption. It rest majorly in the marketing money and the deals that come with it that makes the fest more attractive.College authorities contribute their share towards the fest too

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is was quite affordable considering the fees of my other available options. It is around 56000 per semester for college and 60000 per year for hostels. Best thing about being a government college is that the fees is quite affordable.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes I am residing in a hostels. They have sharing rooms for the first semester of the college and the rest of the semester you are given single rooms.Due to many colleges nearby there are lots of PGs and rooms available but as such college doesn't provide them.We pay around 60000 per year for the hostel other than the mess charges which costs around 50 rupees a day for a full day meal. The food is nothing to be compared to home food but at such a low price you just want clean and fresh food which the mess provides. All in all the hostel time is the best time of my life currently.

Exam Structure

I have to agree to that ,too much of assignments, labs frequent quizzes makes the body tired and leaves little or no time for the person to pursue some extra activities or study about any other subject of interest. In this respect the college is little too much to handle. At the end of the day, the body has no other option than to sleep

Faculty

4

The balance is maintained as in the faculty is experienced as well as new. Some of the senior teachers are strict and disciplined but the younger teachers are very understanding and duly cooperate with students.I think the teachers are highly capable in this college but everyone doesn't have that charm of a teacher. Most teachers are good when u talk to them personally but can't handle the class as such. While there are some exceptions to it with teachers, who will blow you away with there unique teaching standards.Overall the teaching standard is an average

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)
