As a cse student,in your first year you'll be having engineering physics, basic electrical engineering and engineering maths along with mechanical workshop, communication classes. MOOcs classes and mentoring classes are a addition to all of this. For each subject, you'll be having two mentors,along with a personal mentor alloted to every 20 students. Teachers here are mostly doctorates. Four continuous assesments are conducted all through the semester and then there's semester exam.

BTech admissions are done through both WBJEE and JEE mains scores.The college provides a variety of specialization in computer science engineering along with core brances. The application form of WBJEE is released roughly in December and has a fee of 500-400.Where as in case of JEE , application forms are available in November and feb-march respectively with a fee of 1000-800 . Category reservations are available. Admission process is smooth enough and there is no delay in the conduct of classes after the admission processes are over. faculty support is good enough. No there were no interviews or examinations , all BTech admissions are done through WBJEE and JEE ranks. Direct admission through management quota is there too. These examinations are based on the syllabus of class 11 and 12, if you can crack these competitive exams with a decent rank,you are all set for the admission process.
