Likes

Socities : There are a lot of socities and clubs but its very hard to get in.
Sports : The sports culture is very good.
Environment : There is a lot of greenery in campus.

Dislikes

Shaurya : The sports fest isnt the best and there are not a lot of teams that come to compete.
Library : Its big but most of the charging ports are not working and sometimes there is a lot of disturbance.
Academics : The professors are not the best and the exams are too fast.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course since this was my best option according to my rank in the JEE Advanced examination since I was prioritizing a good college over my preferred branch. Faculty student ratio is pretty decent. Qualification of faculty is probably up to the mark but their teaching isn't the best. Passing the term exams aern't very difficult but getting a good grade is quite tough.

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities in campus is handled by the career development centre and quite some companies are called but it's somewhat hard to get on campus intenship in a technical job when your branch isn't computer science.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is around 1 Lakhs per semester. And rest 54L includes the hostel fees, mess etc. Iit required every student to stay in hostels. Or else stay outside is even permitted for students. There's even financial assistance provided by banks like pnb and SBI in the campus. There's even scholarship programs that students will b notified about and many home state scholarship is also availed to the students. Those having family income less than 1 lakh have 100% fee waiver and those having family income between 1 lakh and 5 lakh per annum have to pay 33% of the fees

Campus Life

Life at campus is pretty good. The sports fest is shaurya and is takes place in the month of October. The cultural fest is spring fest and the tech fest is Kshitij and they are conducted in January. The library is pretty big.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is decent at best. The basic facilities such as fan, bed and a cuboard is provided in each room. The bathroom is shared and aren't in very good condition but it's manageable. Meal quality at mess is pretty decent and I don't have much complains other than allu parwal sabji which is horrendous.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission process was done through an entrance examination. It's JEE ADVANCED for IIT. Cutoff is around 8000 - 10000 rank in the JEE ADV examination. Registration process and councelling was done via NTA portal.

Placement in our college is descent . Students typically become eligible for campus placement starting from the 5th Semester. For CSE/IT companies like TCS,CTS ,WIPRO, ACCENTURE etc... come for the placements. For Core branches like EE,ECE,ME Companies like L &T ,samsung, TATA Steel etc...come for offers. The highest package is around 8 to 10 LPA and the average is around 4 to 5 LPA. 70% to 80% of RCCIIT generally get placed across varios department. My plan is to persue MS from abroad/.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement starting from 6th semester ,meanwhile u can also get paid internship from 5th semester itself .The companies which visited the campus most frequently are Cognizant ,TCS ,Infosys ,IBM ,PwC ,BMC ,Tavisca ,Wipro ,Amazon .Tavisca provided over 12 LPA while BMC provided over 14 LPA ,meanwhile in 2024 ,a new record of highest package emerged which is of 21 LPA.The Average package is 480,000 rupee CTC .Over 80 to 90% of students are placed and the college has a very good alumni network which provides u with referrals and possible jobs.I plan to join a IT company after getting my degree

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

Placement Experience:

Placement ratio of the college is very good, cadets start getting placements from 2nd year but majorly the mass placement process starts from 3rd year. The packages ranges from 400-1200 USD as an engine cadet. There are major companies such as CHEVRON, MSC, DYNAGAS, NYK, FLEET MANAGEMENT, PACIFIC BASIN, MOL, IOCL, ZODIAC MARITIME, TORM TANKERS, etc that visit the college for placements every year. For every batch the placement ratio is above 95%. This college is known for its placements and alumni network

In on campus 3 to 4 companies came like Accenture, Cognizant, Capsitech and some startups. So many pooled campus companies were visited at that time. Average package offered was 4LPA. Minimum 60% in 10th and 12th is required to be eligible in the placement drive in most of the companies.

Course in a tough situation

Course Curriculum Overview:

I know Global institute of technology and management college where I started my Btech in mechanical engineering course is one of the great college in west Bengal for Btech but in these period during lock down causes of covid 19 our classes are not going very well. But although teachers are doing there best for teaching us all subjects and they also supporting us all the time. So I thik this will be a new experience with all of this. Every year college gives maximum job opportunity, many companies come last year, maximum 70-80% job confirmed from here with good package. Highest package 8.5 L and avg 5.5 L per year. But computer science and IT companies given good package than other companies.
