The campus and the area is very beautiful first of all
The campus is very vast with a vast library and audis and amphitheatres
The faculty is quite decent and the overall personality development is very good

Dislikes

Not as many things that I disliked here.
Travelling can cost and take so much of the time even more than the class hours
The politics of Delhi University is on peak as we all know

Course Curriculum Overview

Not gonna lie, my course is an average one. One perk is that I've computer science with it that adds as a bonus. To be honest, I did not chose the course, I just got into haha. The faculty of my college is very good according to me. And the exams are held at every semester as usual and you can 'just pass' tum with a less effort

Internships Opportunities

I've the placement cell group of my college and to be very honest there are many internship opportunities every now and then. There are different types of internships for all year students and all program students.

As I am a fresher, I don't know very much about the placements and companies. But according to what I've heard only, I can say that placement is okayish only, but the degree has a so much value as your got it from delhi University. You can get many benefits from this degree after masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of study is quite affordable according to me. I mean ofcourse it would be as it is an government college. I don't know about the scholarship idea for the same and I'm still in college (fresher) so no placement.

Campus Life

Oh this is my favourite one, there are too many fests and functions. Not monthly but when it happens it rocks, especially in my college (Maitreyi college). The library is so vast you can find many varieties and the sports faculty is also fine. There are many societies which you can join and it will only boost your cv

Admission

To be eligible for the all courses in Delhi University, you have to give an entrance exam of CUET. Although I've scored a decent in the exam 595/800 but the cut offs are high. For humanities students, you get admission in honours courses at 650+ and the rest is luck.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.

I chose this college because it was an all-girls college. I wanted to go to Miranda, but the cutoff there was too high, and I couldn't make it. The admission process was simple. I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs. But from 2024 the admission process changed and now Cuet Exam is mandatory. A valid score of cuet and 12 th class is required.
