I like the security given to the students here.
I love how teachers respond to us to give the answers of our questions.
College is full of greenery so you will love the atmosphere.

Dislikes

Availability of buses as there are not a lot of buses to go in a city area.
The college is in rural area so there is lot availability of different type of products.

Course Curriculum Overview

My father introduced me to engineering and I liked the technical food course in the engineering field. Good faculty members as they are very supportive. All have completed from PhD from respectful IIT's. There are major and mid-semester exams on time as academic calendars are issued.

Internships Opportunities

L&t, jsw, ceramic, and many more companies have visited here lot of internships has been given and teachers help students to apply in the internships so please join the college and have fun because you got a lot of opportunities here. Ya project is given to every student in every course.

Placement Experience

Students can apply in the pre-final year for interviews as they are applicable for college placements. Coca-Cola, Cremkca jsw Hindustan Unilever Limited, etc big companies are there where students can get jobs. Many types of packages are given in the college according to your capabilities in college. Almost 70% of students got placed. I want to pursue my PhD so there is a lot of time to think about this.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no hike and the fees is very adjustable to everyone affordable you can have scholarships as well if we want to apply. The college gives you full support whether it is about your financial situation or any problem in arranging fees.

Campus Life

There are a lot of technical fest happening in college and many cultural fest as well like Madhura and Techfest and many more. Each and every type of book is available in the library. Smartclassrooms are provided to students so they can easily learn new things. There are a lot of sports activities in the college like tennis volleyball basketball cricket football etc.

Hostel Facilities

There is full security given to girls as I am a girl child so there are a few restrictions but the college wants us to be safe meal quality is very good you don't have to worry about mess no registration process for hostels it will allotted during the admission. No pg only hostels.

Hostel Fee: INR 4000 per year

Admission

I had given the exam name Leet and applied in this college and got qualified and then selected for the food technology course. To find its application form you have to connect to the site of the college. No, it's easy to apply in the college so no improvement.

LPU Jalandhar is a nest!

Placement Experience:

Over a crore package too have been inked form LPU, CSE and that itself is more than enough to justify my call to Study here. Highest package was of 1.03 crores and average still stands at 8 lakhs around. The big thing is nearly 2500 students in CSE and still all are finding a shot to try for placements.

Like at IET

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

My Journey and experience at my College

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate and usually starts from the 7th Semester . A few Service based Companies visit with average packages of 3-4 Lpa . Around 40 - 50 % students get placed. I plan to upskill and pursue higher studies or better job opportunities

LPU is indeed a professional university!

Placement Experience:

Around 600 recruiters so far has hired students from LPU. Not just domestic but even international names have hired students from LPU. So, I don't think one even has to look beyond LPU for that matter. I am happy that students from here have got the opportunity to work in their dream companies and soon I will be giving interviews as I am also in my final year now.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

On campus Placements are average here. The highest package goes to 19 lakhs and Average package is 3-4 lakhs per annum. However we can not expect any MNC to visit this campus but the companies for freshers and to gain experience visit the campus.

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. I choose this college honestly as it was a centeral government college under josaa and has significantly less fees which would help me save for my master's . I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
