One of the best medical colleges in India

MBBS is a big course with a large scope. Faculties are themselves residents and professors with excellent teaching and good faculty-student ratio. Term exams are slightly more difficult than Proffs but excellent teaching makes them easy to pass.

The internship is offered for 1 year and is mandatory after completing 4.5 years. The schedule is hectic but prepares us well for our upcoming jobs as physicians and surgeons. The stipend is also good for the internship.

Fees are nominal, around 2.5k per annum. MAMC is pretty much the cheapest in terms of affordability compared to its peer colleges. Examination and hostel fees are taken differently, but they are also affordable.

The annual fest occurs around early winter, somewhere around November. All the important medical books are available nearby at a discounted rate to buy, as well as to be issued from the library. Classrooms are kept clean and large with adequate tech. Sports is a bit lacking but there are societies for many extracurricular activities. There are societies for dance, music, drama, fashion, literature, cricket, football, volleyball, and chess.

Hostels accommodation is inadequate as in many students have to wait years to get their first room to stay in. Hygiene is a big problem. Mess fcaility is good but has room for improvement especially in hygiene and menu diversity. Registration for hostel is quite simple and affordable.

Everyone who got >50% in 12th is eligible to give NEET-UG, which is held yearly around the first Sunday of May. The application form and details are available on their website. Reservation is available for caste-wise reservation, PWD, GOI candidates and others. Improvement can be done by taking 2 papers instead of 1 to reduce stress on students.
