Course Curriculum Overview
I loved studying the human body since I was 12 years of age. Thus aspiring to be a doctor I prepared for NEET. The faculty-student ratio in MAMC is pretty good with it being around 1 faculty per 15 students. The faculty is highly qualified with postgraduate and doctorate degrees in various medical specialisations. The exams conducted are based on highly important topics and cover the majority of the syllabus thus truly testing our knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
We have internship opportunities in our own college which consist of 1 year of medical clinic exposure in LOK NAYAK HOSPITAL which is associated with MAMC. We are taught how to deal with patients and solve their problems. Sample collection, interpreting lab reports and other important and basic medical skills are taught and we are graded on our performance in the same.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are very low with it being only 5000 per year. The hostel fees are also very nominal with it as well being only 5k per year covering the room rent electricity water and all the general requirements for living a good life as a student.
Campus Life
The college life in MAMC is very good. The college life is incredibly fun and fresh and never gets old. The annual fest of our college is called SYNAPSE and is conducted every year and comprises of 4-6 days. We have projectors in our classroom thus enabling the professors to teach using interactive presentations. Cricket table tennis basketball and volleyball are highly rampant sports on campus and frequent matches and tournaments are conducted for the same. We have various clubs such as drama club dance club music club art club and various other extracurricular activities take place in the college.
Hostel Facilities
We have well furnished rooms with one wardrobe allocated per person along with a cot. The rooms are well lit and have sufficient ventilation and good natural lighting along with sufficient number of tubelights. There are various canteens in the campus with each one serving different types of food which are tasty and healthy. One has to fill the hostel form on admission and then get allotted a room based on the distance of their home from the college. The only issue is the high sharing of the rooms ranging from 4-6 people per room. However we get allotted a single room in the final year of MBBS.
Admission
The admission process was through the NEET-UG examination which is held every year for students aspiring to pursue MBBS BDS Ayurveda and other medicinal professions. Once you secure a good enough rank, you can apply for various prestigious medical colleges all over India during the counselling process. I availed of no reservation benefits. The admission process was pretty smooth except for the anxiety created over the counselling dates
