What Students Say
Likes
- The infrastructure of the college, it looks absolutely beautiful at night with the lights on.
- The alumni of Kirori consists of great personalities.
Dislikes
- The Management of the college is quite slow.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is quite diverse, In spite of studying BCom which should have only consisted of the Commerce curriculum, The elective subjects provide a very diverse curriculum like IT, Language, and Life skills-related subjects. The students opt more for BCom here.
Internships Opportunities
There are different WhatsApp groups that ring up every day with new opportunities for internships. There are countless number of opportunities for the interested ones. Also, the internships offered are quite different from one other, they are not necessarily from the course you are studying.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for general students are quite nominal compared to that of colleges. The amount any student would spend for 1 year in a private university, can complete the entire course here at Kirori Mal. The fees thar kirori mak charges are less than other colleges in Delhi University itself. But this only applies to general students. Students with reservations also get a wave off of the entire fees. depending upon which quota they fall under like the fees for Pwbd are anywhere between 150-300 Inr for BCom . for general it is around 10,000 and I being a foreign student pay 30,000 INR per year for the same course.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of Kirori Mak College looks absolutely astonishing. It has a very huge area and facilitates all kinds of labs, sports facilities gym, etc. It has a dedicated building for Science. A very huge Garden, basketball court, sports ground, badminton ground, and a Ring as well. In terms of fests, Kirori Mal doesn't do that great compared to what other north-campus colleges have to offer. But Talking about the clubs and societies, it has a great placement cell, enactus, and the music society is phenomenal.
Admission
I was admitted to Delhi University under a foreign student reservation. The admission process for foreign students is quite lengthy, but it helped me get into a good college without giving CUET. The application for foreign students opens way ahead of that for regular. The fees for foreign students are also multiple times than that of regular.
