Likes

The coding culture and the hackathons conducted are great.
The gdsc club invites great people and collabs with open sources to give a good exposure about the tech world

Dislikes

The campus is a bit small- like it is bigger than most of the colleges but as nsec is a top toer private college the campus should be a little bit more . And the college is expanding its floor on 2 of three building bt it will take a year or two .

Course Curriculum Overview

As I explained I have an interest in core computer engineering so I choose the it branch of this college. I choose nsec especially because of it's faculty and the quality of education it provides, it has excellent faculty along with well maintained and updated labs. There are different faculty teachers for the same subjects of different branch, most of them are very friendly and offer you a very good guide. Most of them are with a bsc, mtech degree. The external exams conducted by makaut happen in every 6 months.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 565000 per year

Placement Experience

Ideally the 3 rd and 4 th year students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like accentuate, tcs digital, coknizent, wipro, ibm, delloite and many more visits our campus. The placement percentage for cs branches is like 85.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our batch are charged a total 5.65 lakhs for 4 year courses. Nsec has a good record for placements, the avg package goes here around 5-6 lpa, and even in the 2023 recession year, companies like accentuate, tcs digital, wipro and many more have visited our college so far. Our college also has the scholarship facility for students with humble financial background.

Campus Life

Our college has both annual, semi annual fest going around, the annual fest happens around January (mesmerizer) along with many departmental feat like inceptra for it department melange foe cse and many more. We also have many sports fest like zest and infinito going around, there are ample sports like football, badminton, carrom, table tennis and our college has many clubs like gdsc tech club, phoneinx, Lensified, sports, Ed cell, rotoract

Admission

Nsec offers a total 180 seats for cse and it, Since I always wanted to be in the core computer engineering field I never opted for other non - it branches like ece, electrical or other combinational cs braches like csds, csbs, aiml. I entered this college through jee mains rank, my rank was 85000,i got into it of this college in the first round of wbjee (jee mains) counseling through my all indian general rank.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . My experience about techno

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Things you should know before taking admission in NSEC

Others college which i got confirmed is RIT /quantum and haridwar university but i didn't go there because it was very far from my hometown and placement wasn't that much good as compared to my current college. I have given the west bengal joint entrance exam(wbjee) and through it the nsec college was allotted to me through counselling process. When the result declared, you have to apply for counselling and put your choice of colleges with rank. Every round you will be allotted college according to your result rank. Passing out in 2025, have seen a old place in 2021, to a new college in 2025, rennovated

I had a senior in my locality, 2019 passout, following whom I joined NSEC. I still admire and thank him for guiding me while joining NSEC. While admission I didint face any kind of interview. I had got a rank in WBJEE, and during the first counselling round, I selected NSEC, got NSEC, and finalized it by paying the first semester fees. I wasnt rejected by any college, as I went ahead with my first option. The counselling round at college isnt anything special, just a question whether or not we would be able to bear the college fees, as all comes down to money.
