Student Life.

We have seen a lot of changes in our college since the first day we entered into the course. The change has been very dramatic and astonishing. Facilities and opportunities are improved day-by-day. We all feel very happy to be a part of JIT.

I had taken both CET and COMED-K entrance exams. Couldn't score well, but was very happy to get a seat in JIT. Had heard good reviews about JIT even though it was a recently established institute.

The coaching is very good with well equipped & maintained classrooms and laboratories. There is a lot of scope for sports and college teams do take part frequently in various tournaments. There is a in-house R&D facility which can be utilized by the students. A lot of other co-curricular and extracurricular activities are also encouraged.

Internships are provided by the college in various companies. It is a certified internship for a couple of days or months. Students can also get into internships on their own with the college's consent. We are also offered paid internships by the college in our course-related jobs.

Placements are conducted for various core companies and other companies. Job opportunities are improving with various pool campus drives and other placements. We are trained regarding placements and personality development beforehand from our 2nd year of course.

College hosts a few VTU tournaments in the campus and does organize independent tournaments for various sports. College fest 'Pranathi' is one of the best events in the surrounding bunch of colleges. Events for various festivals and important days are celebrated with student and faculty involvement. A lot of guest seminars and industrial visits are arranged regarding the course. Pool campus placements are also conducted.

The CET fees are fixed accordingly by the CET board. The management quota fees are feasible and flexible. Reductions in fees and various scholarships are provided by the management depending on our performance. The fee we pay is worth as we're given many facilities and opportunities in our field of interests.

A few of my friends have got fee reductions for their performance. Scholarships are also provided based on academic performance,etc,.

The campus environment is very green and pleasant. Lot of importance is given to keep the campus clean and tidy. There are many students from other states, religion, language, etc. Many guest lectures, industrial visits, workshops, etc. are organized in all branches with active participation from students of other colleges too. College teams have taken part in various National and International events and competitions. We are encouraged and taught regarding various events.

The hostel rooms are on sharing basis. The institute has its own boys and girls hostel wherein students from other colleges are also allotted admission. The facilities in the hostel are good with well equipped & maintained rooms and infrastructure. The food is freshly cooked and served. There are proper security and surveillance.

We are happy to have got the best seniors/alumni. They are very supportive, kind and helpful with all our hurdles. We get to be a part of various interactive events along with our seniors/alumni. They guide and refer us with our subject oriented difficulties and placements.

The college is affiliated to VTU. So the theory & lab exam schedules are decided by the university. Timetables are set so that there is ample time to study each subject. We do enjoy our lab sessions with hands-on experience with the equipment, where we learn and understand the science behind the subject.

I had selected a different branch in the beginning and was allotted a seat through CET. Later had a change of mind and wished to opt for another branch. Luckily the college was very helpful with this regard and obliged to allot me a seat in my preferred course through management quota.

The faculty consists of lecturers from various fields of specialization. They are very keen towards teaching and are very friendly. They put in good amount of efforts to make the student understand the subject better. We are taught through presentations, materials and a few demo.
