Likes

Life of the college is very good and I enjoyed it.
From classroom to sports ground and labs all are good
College fest and fresher's party and college election.

Dislikes

Canteen food is not upto mark but whatever.
Hostel fee is too high and not affordable for everyone.
The limited no. Of seats in hostels as per the no. Of students .

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I had completed my higher school from medical background so I choose this subject and the faculty and student ration is 1:3 and the qualification of the most of the teachers are either they have PhD degree or post doctoral degree in botany or in life sciences and there semester system for conducting exam and the exam paper was good.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

College fee is nominal and it's not to much high and affordable for every student from each background and I got scholarship named as central sector scheme of scholarship for college and university student from nsp portal.

The life of campus is jhakkas and every person who take admission to Delhi University enjoy it from fresher party to college and departmental fest and college and university election and the university is full of sports activities and the classroom and library of the different colleges are very good in respect to availability of books and other facilities.

Admission

For admission to Msc botany in Hindu college, du in year 2020 there was entrance exam conducted by nta named duet( Delhi University entrance test ) and from this there were 50% seats were filled by the candidates who qualified this entrance test and rest of the seats are reserved for du students who had done their graduation in botany from du as per their merit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Basically I choose this course because I am interested to study on environment. Again now a days the field in related to environment like disaster management, climate change etc. Facalty is available for the student and they are ready to help students any time. Ratio is correctly not known but I can say that it's good. Facalty is highly educated with PhD holder and other high qualified. Teaching method is basically online distance mode. They provides notes in pdf formate and through video classes. Offline books are provided through postal address. Study materials are easily available on the official website and different application of the official. Exams are conducted as both semester and yearly method. In my course it's semester system and it held timely. Exams are not so tough not too easy.

I choose this college as it got the NIRF rank 1 in 2024. The college is very diverse in terms of courses and students. The college has a campus area of around 25 acre. I have applied for the other colleges of north campus too but Hindu College was my first priority. I got it in the first round of common seat allocation system so I didn't need to bother to choose other colleges. I have to give cuet exam so that I can take admission in Delhi University. The eligibility for my course was to study mathematics till 12th class and the student who has given maths exam in cuet and 2 other subject and 1 language exam. Then the cutoff for this course comes in various colleges. College and course are allotted on the CSAS portal of Delhi University. My course is English Honours and minimum eligibility for this course is 1 language and any 3 domains in CUET exam according to NEP. Application forms will be provided on NTA Official website and application fees is different for different categories. Also some relaxations for SC St PWD candidates.
