Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course which I have opted for is ba program with philosophy as major and political science as minor. If I talk about the course curriculum, we take our 1 or sometimes 2-hour classes from Monday to Saturday and I'm really satisfied with that. There is not so much pressure of attending the classes and bringing the assignments. Our teachers are so nice that they never postpone or miss our class and are always patient with us. Our syllabus seems very easy to us just because of our professors. When I took my first-semester exam, I was so confident that I'd surely get through it with good marks just because our professors have taught us very nicely, clearing all our doubts. We also have our doubt classes scheduled for the main subjects that we study. The faculty members are good and very nice. Just sometimes we have to put extra effort when we want any fest or program to occur of our choice. Faculty members are a little selfish on some issues but it's okay.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is very good for specially abled students according to me because I'm also a PWD student. But for other categories, the fee is too high if I compare it with jnu students. But still, it's good if you'll compare it with private universities. The fee payment process is all online. You can go to the student portal of your college and pay your fee there. I pay just a sum of 150 rupees per year as I'm a PWD student and normally it's up to 14 to 15 thousand. We get so many scholarships and it's a very easy process. Scholarship opportunities are available every time to us. If I talk about financial assistance, it's good here and some professors personally help in this case. But the admin office is not too much aware of this thing. I don't know much about campus jobs as I've just spent a year here.

Campus Life

4

Life on campus is amazing. But in Ramjas College because of the unavailability of the student union, big fests like Mecca happened in Hindu college were not happening for the past 3 or 4 years in our college. But normal departmental fests are amazing and mostly occur during the month of November and December. The condition of the library of our college is very bad. Only old books and course-related books are available. Many amenities are not available. Tables and desks are broken sometimes and sometimes we don't have electricity. Sports and extracurricular activities are very nice in Ramjas but if a student is really passionate about doing so and is active in the college, then only he'll get to know about the activities or sports program otherwise no one tells us. I'm not aware of any social group that runs for the students and by the students right now.

Admission

The admission process was very easy and it was not at all hectic. The only problem was that it was very time-consuming. I got my admission through cuet exam and this exam is very easy to crack based on my experience. The overall syllabus of this exam is what you've read in your class on the 11th and 12th.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
