The campus is so big and Beautiful. And it has a big ground.
We have a Gym also in our campus beside the playground.
The teachers are so good and interactive.

Dislikes

There is very less on-campus placements.
Our college has no hostel for 1st year Boys .
There is so network issue all around the college

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen this course because I get this college in the WBJEE counseling process. There are around 50 to 60 students in every branch individually. Our teachers are so interactive, so we can easily deal with them. Because it's my 1st year 1st semester I don't know about the exam timings and difficulty level properly.

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is so little cost to study because it's a government college. And in this college, we have a library. So it doesn't seem too expensive. There are so many scholarships but one can apply for only one scholarship at a time. In my opinion, SVMCM is the best among all the scholarships.

Campus Life

There was a tech feast named Tech-o-nics. Cross 5.0 will be conducted on the 11th of October. As I said first I'm new to this college so I know very little about this college. But there are so many books in our library. On campus, we played cricket football volleyball, and other outdoor games as well. There are so many clubs run by our respective seniors like "Protibimbo","Tech-o-nicks","Chintann","Shorthand Cricket"etc.

Admission

You have to appear in WBJEE to gain admission. You will get the application form from the official staff of the college. You have to pay Rs.13000 to gain admission to CSE and ECE departments. And Rs.9500 to take admission for all remaining branches except CSE and ECE.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
