Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of the three idiots movie and the day I started to love mechanical engineering, our faculty teachers were very helpful every time we needed help they helped us every time we needed help.

Class Size: 34Course Fees: INR 19000 per year

Placement Experience

From the seventh semester, students become eligible for campus placements, some big companies visited our college and did huge hiring on our campus, the average placement in our college is four lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I applied for a swami vivekananda scholarship and got sixty thousand rupees, in our four-year course if we didn't get a backlog in any exam then we would get a scholarship for four years. We also have a freeship scholarship.

Campus Life

I have a library in our college and we got most of the books we need, I also participate in different sports like football. In our college, there are many different types of social official clubs and they arrange some curriculum activities in every month.

Admission

My rank in the entrance examination is 15974 and I got into this college on the 2nd round of counseling I was admitted to this college, and the admission process was very smooth. The application form is available on the exam website.

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . 7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
